Hyperfixate

I've been hyperfixating on obscure progressive rock bands all month.

Hyperfixation isn’t all about getting obsessed with a few specific things. Instead, most people hyperfixate on many things. The things that people choose to focus on depend on the person.

That said, the tendency to hyperfixate doesn’t mean you have to quit activities you enjoy. What’s important is having the right boundaries, support system, and strategies to keep these interests from taking over your life.

This can lead people with ADHD to hyperfixate on and “love bomb” their newest attraction, but it might also mean they quickly lose interest and want to move on to a new hyperfixation.
