If that is so, the hyperfluidity we found could be a compensatory response of the mitochondria to the rigidity expected from lipoperoxides; in the same way, it could be expected that at higher hyperglycemias or longer times of exposure to hyperglycemia, the membrane fluidity should be decreased.
