Hyperracist

The way in which the book was able to expose the scope, brutality, and scale of the killings and abuse in the context of Maya culture and sociobiography and within the context of a colonial-style, hyperracist country, was a superb, brilliant way toward making sure it does not happen again, a way to make the world become more committed to seeing to it that genocide against indigenous peoples stops.

As recently as 2006, the hyperracist civilizational gorefest film 300 features a “Black Persian,” a giant, grunting monster who wears a necklace of human skulls around his neck.

It mobilized a mass of adherents in frequently violent, archmasculinist, and hyperracist movements wedded to extreme nationalist militarism and the despotic use of expanded and repressive state power against minorities, the poor, leftists, liberals, and trade unionists.

The rhetoric of anticommunism creates false extremes (philanthropy equals fanaticism), then conflates fanaticisms so that, in Faulkner's version, if Joanna can be linked with Joe, demagogue with dupe, so can she be linked with lynch mobs — and with Percy Grimm, the hyperracist and protofascist.
