Ill-omened

A creepy cry that sounds like a human voice, velvet black wings, the image of tearing into dead flesh; crows are known across the world as an ill-omened bird that flies down with ill-luck.

Don't say such ill-omened things.

But heedless, blind with frenzy, one and all / up to the sacred citadel we strain, / and there the ill-omened prodigy install.

Ill betide those foul birds that delight to file their own nest, and disgust the ear with perpetual discord of ill-omened croak.
