Immunofocussing may depend on generally limited antigen presentation – Our data do not support the idea that the generally observed focussing of the Tp response results from limitation in the Tp precursor library.

A variation on RIA for the detection of Hepatitis A virus is radio-immunofocussing in which viruses in a plaque are reacted with a radiolabelled antibody and an autoradiogram is developed (Rao and Melnick, 1986).

Western blotting and immunofocussing would be an advantage.
