Impartiality

Judgment requires impartiality.

Even impartiality is partial.

One cannot remain neutral between those who destroy the law and those who obey it. Neutrality means not dispassion but impartiality, and one cannot remain impartial between right and wrong.

It is a wicked thing to be neutral between right and wrong. Impartiality does not mean neutrality. Impartial justice consists not in being neutral between right and wrong, but in finding out the right and upholding it, wherever found, against the wrong.

Science requires a commitment to objectivity and impartiality.

This cast a heavy shadow on judicial impartiality.
