The independentists denounced dependency as colonial lackeyism

Between 1939 and 1947 the independentists concerned themselves primarily with the welfare of the Polish majority.

Although a classification of terrorism activities can vary, the most active terrorist groups in those years can be divided into extremist and separatist / independentist movements.

Most were inclined to identify strongly with Québec, but they were less monolithic than the independentists in their self-identification, given that some were willing to express a dual identity.
