Induratize

Thy hart gainst me, not still induratize, But my sad thoughts in me retranquillize.

There are many, many reasons why one would choose to induratize themselves. Heartache is painful, agonizing, and at times it feels like it’s just too much to endure, and as a defense mechanism one induratizes themselves.

The man clings to his need to induratize as if it's indentured servitude.
