Interattrition

The main source of the mud and dust found on our roads arises from the interattrition of the stones of which our macadam roads are composed.

If this theory of interattrition as the real cause of road wear is thoroughly discussed and accepted as a fact, the Road Congress of 1913 will on that score alone have been justified.
