Until that day we had spoken only through intermediaries.

The exhibit's curator, Alisa LaGamma, says the sculptures were created to honor ancestors as vital intermediaries with the divine. Organized thematically, the show is an effort to understand the history and culture of their creators.

This is not just a meeting between two leaders, but also a new stage in a bilateral process, initiated by the countries themselves, without intermediaries, with defined conditions, towards a peace agreement.

The two presidents exchanged phone numbers so they could talk without intermediaries.
