Irises

The garden is famous for its irises.

Many Japanese irises were flowering prettily on the lake's edge.

Among the paintings of Claude Monet is one titled "Lilac Irises" and another called "Iris Mauve."

Pink- and apricot-coloured irises have also been bred in some species.

The flag irises are for the most part of the easiest culture and easily propagated.
