Jummahs

For the past three Jummahs (Friday prayers), the Imam had been trying to prepare the Ummah (community) mentally and physically for the days of fasting and the lengthy nightly Tarawee prayers, standing, bowing, and prostrating as commanded by our Lord.

They go to the halaqas [study circles] and jummahs [Friday prayers] and dinners and think they’ve lived.

After missing out on so many jummahs growing up—so much lost practice and so much unacquired knowledge—I needed to catch up.
