Karambola

Kámrak, better known as country gooseberry, Averrhoa karambola, is of two sorts sweet and bitter.

The large cymose panicles of the pink and crimson coloured, small flowered blossom of Averrhoa Karambola (Karmar) are not quite so fragrant, yet they are not without the grateful odour of honey.

She nibbled at the green and purple stems and leaves of the oxalis and seasoned her salads with karambola juice.
