Kolhosp

In a congratulatory telegram to Stalin, the plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, which was held on November 19, 1933, described the consequences of the “shortcomings” of Skrypnik in the following words: “In kolhosps, in agricultural organizations, in a whole number of cultural and economic institutions, there were employed wreckers, counter-revolutionaries, and nationalist remnants of the White Guards, Petlura followers, and double-faced individuals with the Party membership cards in their pockets. . . .

However, state assignments to kolhospy (cooperative collective farms), especially in grain, were so excessive that it was impossible to introduce perennial grasses into the scheme of crop rotation.

They said they were not soldiers, but mobilized kolhosp workers who knew nothing about military matters.
