Ligurian

In the 1800s, Sardinian pastoralists and Ligurian fishermen set up habitations on the island, and there are Roman and Greek ruins on the island that date back several thousand years.

It is sometimes proposed that there was a connection between Ligurian and Iberian, or that Ligurian was also found in Sicily. Notably, Ligurian has also been mentioned as one of the linguistic substrates of Sardinia.
