Meekishly

The Chinese meekishly apologized for what they were doing by saying there was no alternative except to lose home and business.

"I have to go to the bathroom," she said meekishly, bowing her head in the process.

I do remember, however, if someone was not interested in buying our snacks, we would meekishly plead for a handout of some money.
