Micrograins

Microscopic visualization of the surface of both printed and casted scaffolds showed that, while both constructs had similarly sized micrograins, the surfaces of the P-β-TCP structures appeared marginally smoother and more regular than those of the casted N-β-TCP scaffolds ( Fig 1F and 1H ).
