Minicom

Eventually the trust agreed to install minicoms in all key access points and to make mobile minicoms available to inpatients.

Facilities (eg minicoms, hearing loops, etc.) may be inadequate or staff may be unaware of how to use them.

Instead, with a minicom, you can see every letter the other person types, as they type it. And their spelling errors too! So if you make a mistake, then delete it, the other person sees you deleting those letters from their end.
