Mitogenic

Cell-mediated immunity is impaired after burn injury, including documented delays in allograft rejection, impairment in mitogenic and anogenic responsiveness of lymphocytes, burn-size-related suppression of graftversus-host activity, suppression of delayed cutaneous sensitivity tests, and diminution of peripheral lymphocytes and thoracic duct lymphocyte concentration.
