Moderatorhood

I suspect that this may be an example if you're willing to consider the moderator of comp.dcom.telecom as the "Group" trying to shout down a proposal. On the other hand, since the purpose of the group was to end his moderatorhood, it isn't clearcut.

You cannot exclude an entire nation's citizens from moderatorhood, particularly the U.S. with its contributions to crypto, just because you might want, on rare occasion, to post code in a forum.

(In case anyone wonders "what happens if Mr Mike becomes a despotic dictator, using his moderatorhood as a power base to douse the flames of freedom everywhere?" The answer is, someone posts an RFD suggesting a change of moderator, then we vote on it.)
