Molybdosis

Cattle and rabbits appear to be particularly intolerant of high dietary molybdenum levels. For example, in rabbits the symptoms of molybdosis include growth retardation, Alopecia, dermatosis, severe anemia, and bony deformities.

Owing to the occurrence and economic importance of molybdosis in cattle, this species has been the primary subject of study of molybdenum metabolism.

This concentration is below phytoxic level but is recommended to protect animals from molybdosis because of excess Mo in forages.
