Monobranched

Four monobranched candidates were prepared as candidate structures for the comparison of the GC t R to that of compound 2 . 2-Pentyl dodecanoate (2-PD), 2-methylbutyl dodecanoate (2-MBD), and 3-methylbutyl dodecanoate (3-MBD) were synthesized using the same procedure employed in the synthesis of 3-pentyl dodecanoate 2 via a reaction between the corresponding alcohols and dodecanoyl chloride.
