Look at it this way- a two color deck can just have eight sources of another mana color by switching four basic lands of each of it's^([sic]) colors to multilands.

To pull off three colors successfully you have to have more than one multiland in your deck.

This type of deck has to run lots of multilands to avoid colorscrew.
