Mutankiang

Mutankiang, the second city of Heilungkiang, is the industrial center of the East Manchurian uplands.

By July 1946 the volume of industrial production and trade in Mutankiang, a large industrial centre in Manchuria, surpassed the pre-war level by a considerable margin, and the number of commercial and industrial enterprises in the town increased to 1,100 by the summer of that year as against 700-800 during the Japanese occupation.
