Necessitudinous

Wherever, in this architecture, forms can legitimately break loose from mere construction, wherever composition stands free of mere necessitudinous building, the expression towards which it strains with all the force of well-tutored simplicity is the manifestation of the Classical.

I believe every Princeton man, on graduation, absconds with something or other as a memento; it may be some extraneous signs, or an eleemosynary book from the Library, or necessitudinous laundry boxes.
