Nonacrophobic

A stream of festivals, exhibitions, historical reenactments, talks, and tours culminated in the opening of the Walkway Over the Hudson, a converted train bridge in Poughkeepsie that lets nonacrophobic pedestrians stroll over a mile from shore to shore more than two-hundred feet above the boats below.

At Echo Mountain, nonacrophobic passengers hopped onto the third phase, a mountain trolley that climbed another 1,200 vertical feet along airy slopes to the end of the line—Ye Alpine Tavern (later Mount Lowe Tavern, on whose ruins stands today's Mount Lowe Trail Camp).
