Nonblooded

He put animals into two large categories, blooded and nonblooded. The blooded animals included man, viviparous and oviparous quadrupeds, cetaceans, fish, and birds. These were subdivided according to the degree of perfection of the young at birth. The bloodless animals were mollusks, crustaceans, and insects.
