Phee-call

Hence, we have found age-dependent differences in phee-call production and a consistent change in the response received across the adult life-span.

The phee-call production rates of each infant's parents during development are shown in Fig. 4G

Their analysis showed that marmosets use these phee-calls to address specific individuals within their social groups. Moreover, the monkeys demonstrated an ability to discern when a call was directed at them and responded more accurately to such targeted communication.
