Water mint isolates, by changing the proportion of apical, elongating and mature root zone, may regulate the release of nutrients, gases, anti-microbial or signalling compounds, which are important chemical mediators between plant and rhizospheric microorganisms and, as already discussed, can also affect the phytodepurative properties of the plant.
