Piezoactive

Piezoactive polymers are partially crystalline, and the crystalline regions are ferroelectric, that is the crystalline regions are permanently polarized.

Because quartz is piezoactive, the EA signal in the first mode was registered from the bottom filter electrode, whereas the top one was earthed, i.e. the filter was simultaneously used both as sample investigated and as piezoelectric transducer.
