Pizzell

I have a very dear friend whose mother made us pizzells, which is an Italian waffle cookie and delicious. I make them once in a while now and sometimes roll them, while hot, and fill them with whipping cream and strawberries.

Even though she does not work at the bakery anymore she still bakes cookies for me. The other day she asked me if I like pizzells and I said yes.

Everyone applauded and sauntered up to the buffet of spaghetti, meatballs, Italian bread, salad and gelato, pizzells, biscotti and cannolli for dessert.
