Pre-distortion

Smale [14] following the work of Akagi [3] and others has investigated reversing the order of the shunt and series elements so that the series element compensates for any pre-distortions in the network voltage and the shunt element is used to compensate for any nonactive current drawn by the load.

Holzbach (1986) adapted similar principles to perspective computer-generated imagery produced with a standard camera model, and then post-processed to produce the pre-distortions necessary to create an undistorted holographic image.

Dynamic image pre-distortions and display adaptations—with help from an eye tracker—could provide for proper perspective and focus.
