Preadherence

If microglia survive in these cultures, a preadherence step can be used in the initial setting up of the cultures to facilitate the attachment of suspended microglia prior to establishing the oligodendrocyte cultures.

This derives from the preadherence strategy adopted by the European Council in Essen (Germany) in December 1994, which stipulates, among other things, that the associated countries — therefore, Romania, too — "must implement legislative and regulating systems and apply certifying norms and procedures that are compatible with those of the EU."
