The fact that he's a minor scumbag himself makes him all the more qualified to comment on the scumbagginess of others - takes one to know one, and all that.

however, I consider it this way: humans have the potential for evil/general scumbagginess. Animals do not.

Conversely, I think that Logan is completely lost within his scumbagginess and has potential as character if he'll just start owning up to his idiocy.
