Semiconfluency

The cells were cultured under these conditions until the untransfected cells were dead (approximately 2–3 days); the medium was then replaced with IMDM+10[%]FCS. Cells were cultivated until they reached semiconfluency, after which semiconfluency was maintained until 14 days post-transfection.
