Shivvy

The pulp becomes very ragged and shivvy as it increases in freeness depending upon the grit sizes of the stone, and requires rolling in order to take down the high or irregular spots.

There has been no plant in the State for commission carbonising and all burry, seedy and shivvy wools have been transported to the Eastern States or overseas for treatment.
