Sidescreen

Separate systems are incorporated in Bristol Britannia 253F aircraft for wing deicing, tail unit deicing, engine air-intake deicing, windscreen heating, pressure-head heating, and sidescreen demisting.

At the introduction of the TR3, all cars, whether or not supplied with hardtops, were given the new sliding type of sidescreen, still with hinged flaps and till popped to the door by four fastners, of ‘List-a-dot’ type by this point.

The cockpits were open but fitted with windscreens and short sidescreens.
