Cusinera serves stupendous silog (traditional Filipino breakfast, $5.61) — eggs with garlic rice and a protein of your choice, such as daing (crispy dried fish), longaniza (juicy, garlicky pork sausage) and tapa (cured beef steak).

Bayan Ko Diner offers the classic Filipino silogs, a breakfast plate comprised of your choice of meat, garlic rice, fried egg and tomato salad. “I’m a classic guy and I just love a silog,” Letrero said, noting that their house-made tocino is his favorite.
