Solenophagous

These results indicate reduviids, and possibly other fast-feeding solenophagous arthropods like sandflies, provoke a weak immune response initially, but macroscopic reactions develop quickly once appropriate sensitization occurs as a result of chronic exposure.

Mosquitoes, fleas, lice, and bloodsucking bugs, whose mouthparts are long and well adapted to localize blood vessels and suck directly from them or from pools formed by their rupture, are called solenophagous.
