Swedophile

Sweden is often in his mind though he is no robotic Swedophile, as one sometimes finds; his theory is more general and its applications would be more diverse.

On the other hand it was unfashionable to be Swedish-speaking, Swedophile and believing in cooperation with Russia.'44 These contrasting attitudes were not necessarily mutually exclusive; for example, some of the leading Jägers were Swedish-speaking although in other ways they fell into the 'fashionable' category.

But even a Swedophile must exercise restraint. My memories of Swedish gardens are but one part and that indeed a small one, of my whole impression of Swedish life.
