Tasexit

Ahead of the state's upcoming election, the Liberal government has pledged to pull Tasmania's pricing structure from the National Electricity Market if it is elected as part of its 'Tasmania First' policy, in a move being dubbed 'Tasexit'.

The 'Tasexit' is part of the Liberal Government's Tasmania First philosophy where local generators would not be given full freedom to sell electricity generated in Tasmania to other states.
