Telangiectasiae

The disease starts as a progressive cerebellar ataxia in infancy and later progressive oculocutaneous telangiectasiae develop.

In this series these 9 malformations were found on histopathology to be due to one venous hamartoma, seven telangiectasiae, and one mixed hamartoma.

Senile telangiectasiae occur with increasing frequency with age, and are more common in Caucasian women.

The telangiectasiae develop between 3 and 6 years of age.
