Tranarchist

What follows is a distillation of hours of conversation with two of these women, Justine and Zoë, founding members of the "tranarchist" affinity group that has helped jump-start a movement that has swept the nation and the world.

As Justine Tunney (27), self-described "tranarchist" and founder of the main OWS website (occupywallst.org) phrased it, "I believe that the hetero-normative, cis-normative, patriarchal, state-capitalist establishment is evil and must be destroyed."

Some noted with bemused incuriosity that Tunney, an avowed anticapitalist “tranarchist” (transgender anarchist), was at one time a prominent and divisive fixture of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
