Interestingly, the study by Horsley et al. observed no benefit with use of stretching with regard to wrist contracture of stroke patients, a central nervous system (CNS) issue, while Maluf et al. indicated a benefit of stretching for transmandibular pain, a peripheral nervous system (PNS) issue.
