Ukogbani

This American has heard of Dame Edna. I saw the referenced show [The Dame Edna Experience] while visiting the UKoGBaNI in late July and early August.

A friend of mine has never got further away from UKoGBaNI than Amsterdam, and is a regular user of the phrase "a whole bunch".

The confusion is presumably because the pound sign on a UKoGBaNI keyboard is in exactly the same place as the sharp sign is on an American keyboard, which you might not know.

BBC is another big multi-site station. Except along the East Coast, best reception in North America usually comes from BBC sites outside the UKOGBANI.
