Vitreouslike

A very hard, vitreouslike substance, composed of hexagonal prisms, with a common direction at right angles to the dentoenamel junction or line marking the union of the enamel and dentin.

However, if the hydroxide was allowed to dry at room temperature, it was reduced to approximately one-third of its original solid volume, forming a very hard, vitreouslike material.
