Just to clarify KareKano really only has Ecchiness in the form of Asaba and even then it's...whacked.

This episode rivals some of the worst of the Warner Brothers or H&B cartoons from 40 years ago in terms of having unfunny humour, pointless situations and poor animation. Even the supposed "ecchiness" is pathetic - there's more ecchiness in most episodes of Keroro Gunsou and that is broadcast at 10 AM on Saturday mornings.

And the creators of the show were smart enough to be able to successfully pull off a feel-good serious ending that didn't contain ecchiness but that still stayed entertaining and true to the overall spirit of the series.
