Where do these people get the energy to live in a constant state of crisis? Something that I don’t know about in their frappuccini?

We also need to be open to food and consumption habits different than ours, and welcome the various espresso-based beverages as long as there is an awareness that “lattes” and Frappuccini are something different than “caffe” Italian style.

Even with these reasons for Starbucks’ peninsular tone in place, though, the merely partial gesture toward Italian style and origin can still grate. If it’s an alignment with Italian practice that they desire, shouldn’t we be able to order three Frappuccini without sounding utterly pretentious?
