While the most apparent element the Golden Dawn borrowed from Rosicrucianism was its grade system, the most obvious imports from Freemasonism were the elaborated rituals, and the general penchant for symbolism and costume. It is important to note however, that other typical features of Freemasonism were deliberately discarded.
