From November 1, 1926, the District Railway ceased to provide any rolling stock for the Inner Circle service except three trains on Sundays and the whole service was worked by the Metropolitan. At the same time, to balance the interworked mileage, the Putney Bridge-Edgware Road service was introduced and operated entirely by District Railway trains.
